Seek the truth

I sit here with no kiddos today...with nothing but my thoughts, and silence! Which usually isn't a good thing for me, but today I welcome it.

For someone who never has anything going on in life (I like my quiet little, boring to some, life!) it seems as if my plate is too full. I know God say in 1 Corinthians 10:13 "He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear." And- I know we aren't to ask Him why? But, I find myself the past couple of days thinking I can't take anymore, and why me? We as Christians tend to think or expect God to fix our problems. Are you one of those that believe this lie? That's exactly what Satan is wanting me to believe; Because when things don't work out how I want them to satan wants me to think God has not come through for me. Last night one of the deacons from church reminded me that God allows and uses "things" in our life to better us; He has a purpose for our problems and wants to change us. You just never know. I'm not a Christian because I think He might give me lots of money, health, happiness, obedient kids, or to be exempt from hard decisions... I LOVE and believe the promises He has given. Am I undeserving??....Yes, but thank you God for GRACE!!

Which brings me to another point: Forgiveness.
I think people miss use or don't understand forgiveness. To forgive is to stop feeling angry or resentful toward someone who has hurt you or done you wrong. Sometimes there are things and people in our life that are not good for us and we must cut them out. I've said this before and I say it again, Forgiving doesn't mean you have to let them keep doing it to you! God knows your heart and that's what matters!

Anyhow, just a few of my thoughts...thanks for listening! Going to get my kiddos now!! :D

Have a good one!.....til next time.

Note to self!

Don't open the shower door while Joel is singing Ghostbusters.

I let Joel play in the shower this morning while I got ready to take him and Justin to PDO (which they ended up not going because of the weather). Joel was playing with his cars and asked if he could have the water hose. I continued to get ready as he played. After a few minutes, I told Joel it was time to get out and he started singing, "Duuu-nnuuu, duuu-nnuuu!" It's not unusual for him to sing, I mean, he's ALWAYS singing ghostbusters, so I opened the door...and he started spraying me! As I jumped back screaming and shut the door. And as that little stinker was laughing he yells, "GHOSTBUSTERS!"

I know this is a little blurry, but so fitting!

Have a good one. Stay warm and be safe driving in this nasty weather!
